The monkeys are breaking out of the zoo

Hmm, what news? I was at the zoo with my big camera and took loads of photos.

That last one didn't even involve a zoom. Very tame birds.

Today I have been reading the new Jim Butcher Furies of Calderon book (still not as good as the Dresden ones) and watching Big Brother. Tomorrow is the F1 and the Apprentice. And Big Brother. Oh, and the Euro election results. My life is so exciting.

Also, yay, we've got rid of Geoff Hoon too. Interesting times.

Pretty Lorikeet! I know someone who had one, and she said they can projectile poop. Something to do with a mostly nectar diet. The other pics are really nice too.

Which Furies book is "the new one" there? I thought the series hit it's stride in book 3.

Heh, didn't notice any projectile pooping! You could buy nectar to feed them, but they weren't feeding well when we went in so we were advised not to bother.

I'm reading Captain's Fury, it's out in paperback. I saw Princep's Fury in hardback the other day but it might have been an import, not sure!

FWIW, when I saw Jim last month, he said that there are going to be around 20 Dresden Files books in all (+ or - one depending on if his kids go to grad school) followed by a big apocolyptic trilogy (because who doesn't like acopolyptic trilogies?). The book after Princep's Fury will be the last in the Fury series, and he said something about getting to rampage godzilla style and destroy this world he's created (he made it sound like fun).

Ooh, awesome. All series should have 20 or so books in them! Though I'm OK with the Alera series being shorter - like I say, I'm not as keen on it...
