We know the game and we're gonna play it

So I'll be seeing you all in hell, then.. Excellent, excellent. Bring cake.

Don't want to spoil Heroes, but I have to say - everyone else is drooling over muscly ShirtlessMohinder, but it put me off him totally. I always assumed he'd have a reasonably fit academic body, mmm, not gym bunny. Not that I'd been aware of having an assumption, until he took his shirt off and I was like "No! Bad and WRONG!" But I'm clearly in the minority. (HRG and Peter can continue taking their shirts off, however.)

I've been playing Zelda: Twilight Princess on the Wii, and Spore on the PC. Spore is fabulous! You design yourself a Cell organism, and then take it through progressive evolutionary steps and through Creature, Tribal, Civilisation and Space stages, changing it as you want at any stage. Zelda is cool too, it just keeps reminding me how crap I am at quest-based PC games.

Spore has various enemies - there was a huge controversy about the DRM, because they originally put DRM on it that would only allow three installations from a disk, meaning if you replaced your PC and laptop or reinstalled Windows a couple of times, you'd be in trouble. But they've compromised a bit, so now it's five free installations and you can apply for more on a case by case basis, though I have no idea how that'll work. So I might actually get online with it at some point.

There's a site called antispore.com, which is unbelievable! Read it from the bottom up, and skim a few of the comments - it's worth it! Classic internets. And I learned a new law.

Working tomorrow, BOO, but having a Macmillan Coffee Morning thing, therefore CAKE, therefore YAY.

I've been starting the day with coffee and CAKE for awhile, now, ever since I discovered this one particular store (out of the chain) have a particularly moist pudding cake ring, made by their in-house bakery, which comes with different toppings and styles, such as one with lemon curd, another which is all chocolate with mini-chocolate-chips on top, or another which has nuts and streusel, or... or...

Is it morning, yet??

"This entire game is propaganda aimed directly at our children to teach them evolution instead of creationism, or “intelligent design” if you go for stupid PC terms."

I was actually thinking the exact opposite -- the trailer has definite ID overtones.

"But the Bible teaches us that God was not done with man. For we were His creation and He then spoke to Noah in Genesis 8:21-27 after the flood.
“21. The LORD smelled the pleasing aroma and said in his heart: “Never again will I curse the ground because of man, even though every inclination of his heart is evil from childhood. And never gonna give you up. 22. “Never gonna let you down.” 23.”Never gonna run around and desert you.” 24. “Never gonna make you cry.” 25. “Never gonna say goodbye.” 26. “Never gonna tell a lie and hurt you.” 27.”Never truly believe anything you read on the Internet. There will always be cases of Poe’s Law.”

It’s these teachings that I’ve spent my life learning, believing and becoming, that have made me the woman that I am today."

Put down the keyboard and step away from the internet.

Livejournal won't let me delete the post. I suspect I've broken the joke now.

There shouldn't be any sort of restriction like this. The more the stupid dinosaurs in the industry punish legitimate users with nonsense like this the more people will turn to piracy. It's self-harm borne out of arrogance. Someone needs to take these idiots aside and remind them that the customer is King in business, not some underling to be regarded with suspicion who needs to ask permission to install software he or she paid for.

If we didn't have such craven governments this sort of nonsense wouldn't even be happening.
