Saw Christopher Brookmyre and AC Grayling at the book festival yesterday, both excellent. Grayling's a professor at Oxford Brookes (I think) and gave us a proper 40-minute lecture on Hercules' choice between pleasure and duty, and the historical roots of the story, and whether it's a false dichotomy and each enhances the other, which is his belief. It made me want to go back to uni, briefly. I got my book signed afterwards, hurray.
Brookmyre told us why the Buchanan Street Borders has protected entry on the doors to the public toilets - they found a warm cooked chicken in them once. Warm in a very particular place.
Comment is Free goodness - Julie Birchill has come out as a Christian Zionist Feminist Socialist. The loon. She spends the rest of the article insulting atheists. We're all gutted, naturally. Carole Calwalladr gives feminists a bad name by arguing that Gabby Logan shouldn't be the main BBC Olympics presenter because she's too good-looking. Christopher Brookmyre talks about Shettygate II and suggests the next step for reality TV.

I fancy Claire Balding and Hazel Irvine more than Gabby Logan. The day of equality will have really dawned when the BBC hire a brunette.
Feel free to share those spoilers, btw.
There's a problem with your Gabby Logan link.
