The British kind.
I was going to rant about the Heinz advert thing, but most of you have got there before me and have already complained about the (entirely innocent) advert being pulled because of a few narrow-minded bigots. I've been arguing about this for the last two days on Digital Spy. Someone actually claimed the advert was trying to convert people to gaydom. *boggles*
Hmm, what else do I have, then?
Had lunch in Princes Square today and listened to two of my friends try to figure out how electricity works. It was very funny. Went to Borders afterwards, obviously, and bought a book called 50 Mathematical Ideas You Really Need To Know. It's a very pretty book. And now I discover there's a series, dammit! I also bought The Lucifer Effect, an in-depth analysis of the Stanford Prison Experiment by the guy who carried it out. I feel intellectual. (I'll feel more intellectual if I actually get round to reading them, admittedly.)

- Architect secretly builds epic scavenger hunt into NYC apartment. Fabulous. Just unreal.
- Rachel from North London has a great essay on the media's response to David Davis resigning, their subsequent hasty reverse ferret, and the power of blogs.
- New meme! I Am Aware Of All Internet Traditions, and the story behind it. And a collection of ways it's spreading.
- Stephen Fry on why we need the BBC. Listen and learn, folks.
- Do you possess "extreme porn" of the type that will be illegal from next year? How do you know, when even the police can't tell what's illegal?
- Jacqui Smith says it's OK to deport gay people to Iran, because they won't be executed if they're discreet. I despair.
- But to end on a happy note,
theferrett proposes a console game that's a combination of Guitar Hero and SingStar and the dance mat ones, called Broadway Hero. And he suggests a set list. Honestly, if this game was released, I'd buy whatever console it came on.
