I Lied

I have more photos of my bookshelves. Some of the books aren't in the right order, so let me know if you spot something that should be moved. (Apart from the purple Janet Evanovich book, which is too big to go where it belongs.)

Click to embiggen. Apparently flickr doesn't let you link to the original size. Or am I doing something wrong? If you're logged in to flickr on your own account, can you see these?

You've got two blue Ffordes not next to one another. Amd why have you kept Prelude to Foundation? One of the most tedious books I ever did read.

She's keepin' it so that copy doesn't accidentally end up before your eyes. She's doin' her part to keep you safe. Be grateful!

She's too bloody late, then. I already read the damn thing. It taught me a lesson; just because an author whose other books you like writes a book in a series you also previously liked, does not necessarily mean this book is any good. (See also Monstrous Regiment).

Well, she is but one lass. She can only do so much, you know. At the very least, she's protecting you from a relapse, based on the possibility that some day you will have forgotten that you'd read that book once before, and might unknowingly pick it up, once again, and gaze upon its pages, only to find...

She's protectin' you, I say!

Be grateful. (in a Scottish accent)

Yes! This was the reason!

They're *different colours* of blue. Of course, so are a lot of the books that are next to each other, but...

And because I don't tend to get rid of books...especially ones in a series. (I'm also thinking of Monstrous Regiment.)

I'll put them under a cut so that most of you don't defriend me for spammage.

Ohhh, phyne! Take away our only reason to defriend you! Maaaan, now we're stuck with you.

I must say, that's a fabulous looking wall o'books. *nods*

This whole thing is starting to remind me of a flatmate who had his records arranged according to how much he liked the singer's haircut.

*boggles* The haircut on the album cover, or the haircut at the time of the arranging? I can see advantages either way. (Possibly I'm overthinking this.)

I really need to be stealing this room around about now. This is so how I want my flat/house when I move out, it's not even funny.

I LOVE YOU FOR SHOWING US THESE PICS. XD

Y'know, the more I see it, the more tempted I am to actually try it. Wonder if SB'll let me?

Actually, given how little tidying/sorting she's doing, it'll be a good holdoever her, if she doesn't like it she can do it herself.

Hmmm...

That is fab. And the wall of bookshelves is fab.

Still wouldn't do it myself, as I'd get too annoyed at having one author's books spread about in possibly several places.

But sooo envious of bookshelves.

So pretty! Although (and I think other people have probably said this) I don't think I could stand having books from the same series spread out so much.

Mostly, I envy your shelf space. *drool*....
