I have a new shiny shiny N95 phone. It's lovely. *strokes* I can't make it get on the internet in any one of the billion ways it says it can do so, mind you. And it takes micro SD cards rather than mini SDs, so I need to buy a new card, dammit. But it's got a huuuge screen and it imported all my stuff from my old phone and the camera is awesome and....eeee!

Wanted one for months, to replace my N80!

Yeah, my N80 just got to the end of the 18-month contract I signed up to, so I've locked myself into another 18-month thing on this one. But it seems fab.

Yeah, my 18-month contract runs out in March, so I'm going to get an N95 then. Unless something better appears, of course :->

ooh, they're really rather lovely (played with one at my sister-in-law's house - she had a bunch of shiny new handsets for some marketing demo). Is it the 8GB version?

It's not, unfortunately, but I might get an 8gb card for it. I can get 2gb for about a tenner or 8gb for about £60, and I'm tempted by the big one...

Ooooh! *is jealous*

N95 or N95i?

As for interwebs, the N95 (and i) notoriously come without settings preinstalled. Call your network and they'll push the settings out to you, or visit Nokia's website and you can do it yourself from their.

Oh, and if you don't have an unlimited data plan, make sure you turn automatic map updates off for the Sat-Nav, and use the route planner only if your really need to. It really eats up your data allowance.

Just the N95. They sent me the settings really quickly and I saved them, but I keep getting an irritating message about packet data not being available. The guy in the o2 shop gave me the details to do it manually today, but that doesn't seem to work either - I may have to phone customer services. Bugger.

The iPhone looks SO PRETTY, but I read some dodgy reviews...and it's not 3G, which will only be an issue if I ever get this one online!

Bah, phone customer service. No need. You'll probably get through to me anyway.

You probably just need to tell it to activate the GPRS Profile. Menu -> Web (If it tries to connect to web at this point, press cancel) -> Options (left hand button) -> Settings -> General -> Access Point -> User Defined -> O2 GPRS WAP.

If you need any more help, email me and I'll run you through it (lauder DOT stuart AT gmail DOT com).

Or you could wait until about May and get the iPhone 3G, but I find EDGE fast enough anyway, if there's not a wifi point.
