Yeah, OK, I should read my friendslist before posting - that way I have lots to say.

From Popbitch via matgb: "Joss Whedon's long awaited UK based Buffy spin-off, Ripper, starring Anthony Head, starts filming next summer for BBC." I'm trying not to get too excited in case it's bollocks, but...wheeeeeeeee! (I'm also wondering why I seem to get the popbitch email about once a month. Sigh.) It's also mentioned at whedon.info that Joss talked about it at ComicCon. Looking like if it happens, it'll be one 90-minute TV movie. Starring Giles! Wheeeeee! Sorry.

Further to the pop video I posted last week, the article about making the DIY single and video, and promoting it, is in the Independent today. If I'd realised before I'd been to the shop, I might even have bought it, just for the brilliant picture of rhodri on the front page. Hee. I am not one of the people who's bought the song as yet, but only because I didn't have my credit card handy when I saw the link.

And a meme from ciciaye:

Comment on this post with the five songs that, when you hear them, you simply can't stop yourself from singing, or drumming, or dancing along with.

Then put this in your own livejournal if you want to :-) (With youtube links!)

My five:
Birdhouse In Your Soul by They Might Be Giants
Pop Singer's Fear Of The Pollen Count by the Divine Comedy (last.fm link, because it's not on YouTube, shockingly.)
Grace Kelly by Mika
Don't Stop Me Now by Queen
La Vie Boheme from the Rent soundtrack

Furry Happy Monsters by REM and the Muppets (well, actually it was Sesame Street. Same difference!)
Dance Magic Dance by David Bowie, from the movie "Labyrinth"
Quietus (Silent Reverie) by Epica
Eva by Nightwish
The Other Side by Sirenia

Oooh, I came *so close* to putting Mana Mana by the Muppets on my list. Because it's what I use to get rid of irritating earworms, because it'll always write over them.

Damn. Now I have "Mana Mana" stuck in my head.

See? It works! Although, admittedly, only if you think it's better than whatever you had in your head before...

Yes, sometimes I seem to get popbitch for weeks on end reliably, then it disappears for ages. It's not in my spam trap, either...

Hmm. Yeah, that sounds precisely like what happens to me. And if I go and put my email address into their page again, they say they have it.

Thank god I only know two of those five songs well enough to get them permanently stuck in my head. Oh, the ire you have just raised in my soul.

...*downloads other three anyway*

I have a complaint about this post.

There is a blue canary in my head, and it's wittering about my soul. I refuse to do this meme purely on the grounds I don't want more like it...
