More new flat wittering

Arghle.

Internet at home has died already - that was quick! I will fiddle with it tonight and try and figure out what went wrong, and maybe try to set up the wireless and see if that works. And my extra userpics nearly ran out, but luckily I eventually checked the relevant email account and noticed.

Having one of those days at work where I'm running around frantically busy (well, up till now; yes, I know "frantically busy" doesn't usually involve posting to LJ) and yet have nothing to put on my timesheet, somehow.

I have too many books. I may well still have more books than bookshelf space. I'm having much fun trying to sort them out, though. There will probably be more rearrangement, but currently it's fantasy in my bedroom (...no, I'm not even going to comment on that), SF and crime in the little-but-deep bookcase, and non-fiction and gen fiction in the three big bookcases in the living room. And piles of books somewhere else, it looks like. More shelving! (It probably says something about me that I've unpacked half of my books, and none of my clothes. And only half my bathroom stuff.)

#Boss and her hubbie are coming round tomorrow because hubbie is a plumber-type and can do my washing machine. I'm not sure if I want #boss knowing where I live. On the other hand, I'd like to be able to wash things. So, yay.

My route to work now takes me directly past Starbucks. This is a temptation nobody can expect me to resist. Grande hazelnut lattes, mmm.

In regard to your order of unpacking, I'd say you've got your priorities straight. After all, you want to feel at home in your new place, and books on shelves will create a more homely atmosphere than clothes in wardrobres.

And books are just more important.

Yup. Also, I have bookcases, but haven't managed to buy a chest of drawers yet because they were out of stock in Ikea.

Coffee is FAR too tempting to resist, especially from Starbucks. Re-the washing machnie...it's VERY annoying when you see one get put in because it looks pish easy. Well, it annoyed me anyway. But I'd like to think I have a BIT of an idea for when/if we get another one. And if not...I will plead girliness and bat my eyes. Obviously.

Hee. Great icon.

Yeah, that's why I've got someone I know rather than a plumber, because if it just consists of attaching two hoses then he'll probably just take a fiver or a six pack of beer or something! I am planning to do the eye-batting to get him to figure out where my immerser (emerser? hot water heater) is and how I turn it on while he's there.
