'Sno show like the snowshow...

I have a new Best Thing Ever Ever Ever. I went to see Slava's Snowshow at the King's last night, and it's truly awesome. Probably the best show I've ever seen. It's mime(!) and clowning, but in more of a Cirque du Soleil style than, you know, custard pies and hooters. The guys' movement and theatrecraft was stunning, and they used the theatre better than anyone I've ever seen.

It's great for anyone over about 4, I'd say (and who doesn't have a clown make-up phobia - this was a slight problem for one of my mates last night!) Go now, if you're within 100 miles of where it's on! Tour details are here - it's going to be in Salford, Brighton, Woking, Birmingham and Bath. Get seats in the stalls if possible - and don't leave the auditorium in the interval!

To sum up - bounce! squee! bounce! yay! etc.

random person says,
I'm going to see it! Ive been looking on the internet for it to come back to Britain for years, I cried the first time I saw it about 10 years ago ( in the kings!), in fact the whole audience left grinning and crying. It is the best thing ever. I want my friend's kids to go but I can't explain to their mum how great it is and I don't want to give the best bits away.
I've not got stalls seats though :( I hope I can join in at the back.
Huge comment I know, but no one else I know has seen it!

Re: random person says,
Yay! Yeah, that's what it was like last night :o) They had to kick us out of the theatre...

I hope you manage to persuade your friend to bring her kids - the ones with us loved it, I think. (Maybe not as much as the adults did!)

Omg I'm going to see this show with my friend in November! X3 We've been planning it for ages, lol. Good to know someone thought it was brilliant. :D

It's SO GOOD. Anyone who doesn't love it, bring them to me and I will kick them in the head a lot.

I'm sure it's great, though I am afraid I have the clown phobia and I think it would be scary...

Heh :) They're not, like, Ronald McDonald type clowns, but they do have some make-up on to accentuate facial expressions.

Odd how common the clown phobia is. I wonder if that's ever been explained...and if it was as common before Stephen King's It! (That was freaky!)
