Sesame Street

This entry is brought to you by the letter W and the emoticon :o(

It's stupidly Wet considering it's the last day of June, and when I was at the bus stop some Wanker decided to zoom up the inside lane despite the fact there was a car parked in it about 20 yards away so it wouldn't actually get him anywhere, and soaked everyone at the bus stop with puddlesplash. 20 minutes after I washed my face I get Glasgow puddlesplash all over it. Great. I'm also wearing my nice summery linen trousers which are slightly too long for me, and apparently they don't like Wetness much - it all soaks in so they're Wet to about halfway up my calves.

There's also still not really much Work to do - everyone's doing bits and pieces of City Hospital Summer Specials. This programme involves Nadia Sawalha, Ainsley Harriot and Andi Peters, and is precisely as bad as that sounds.

So today = damp and grumpy. Grrr.

The rain would be Welcome down here. How about thinking of some cheerful things beginning with W, like Wallabies, Words, Writers, and particularly Weekends? :-)

Weekends are good :o) I have cheered myself up by acquiring a rainy icon.

How does it work with dishing the work out there? Do all the good programmes get doneon a first come first served basis, until someone bravely thinks "Oh, fvck it, I'll do Top Gear then"?

There's a database, and we're meant to take the first programme that's available to do, and *under no circumstances* cherrypick to get what we want or avoid things we don't want. Bah. (Of course, it doesn't quite work like that, but that's the theory.)

I quite like doing Top Gear, as it happens. It's a significant improvement on most of the daytime crap...
