First of all, happy birthday to magda_vogelsang. Hope you have a great day! Also thanks to Magda for recommending the Dresden Files books - I read Storm Front over the last few nights and it was excellent! Much more real-life and funny than I expected, somehow, from the covers and stuff, and also fairly creepy. Now I must buy all the others, dammit.

UK folkses, there's a Doctor Who sticker album free with the Radio Times this week. (I've just blagged one off someone at work...hee...very professional!) Can't believe I'm going to collect stickers again; a friend and I went through a brief phase at uni (we had the Toy Story book!) but I thought I might have outgrown it. Not to worry. US folkses, if you really really want the sticker book I can buy the RT and post it out to you, but I think getting hold of the stickers might be tricky! Ebay has lots, though...

Last night I watched series 2 eps 3 and 4 of Lost, and am much, much more impressed with the beginning of this series than the end of series 1. Answers! Or at least clues! Hurray!

hellziggy sent me the audiobooks of the first three Dresden books on mp3, read by none other than James Marsters himself. Fantastic.

*flaps slightly* I do always prefer books to audiobooks, but that sounds *cool*.

Hmmmwell... I've not seen 4, but my big question is still -- how the hell did those numbers jinx Hurley's life?
My theory was that the whole of the planet is the experiment being run from the bunker, but seems not.

Strangely enough, 4 doesn't answer that...but at least we might have established why the guy in Hurley's mental institute was chanting the numbers.

Did they not already establish that in Season 1? My memory is terrible for details like that, but I thought they had...

Um, depends why you think he was chanting them, I guess, but we didn't hear about it being the code you had to punch in every 108 mins till last night...

Oh ok, that part... like I said - terrible memory :)

Trust me, I'm up to date with the US episodes, and there's a hell of a lot more questions than answers to come.

I suspected as much ;)

Whoo! Excellent :o)

Thank you!

Sadly, it's not been the best of days so far (see my journal for details), but I'm hoping it will improve.

Aren't the Dresden Files good? I love Harry's sense of humor, and the fact that he can apply it to himself as well as others. I've just read the 8th (most recent) book in the series, and it's at least as good as the first.

Have just got the Radio Times, and am childishly excited about the stickers! (I think the last collecty sticker album I had was Nwighbours back in the Kylie and Jason era!)
