I am ill and off work (unsure *precisely* what I'm ill with, I suspect it's to do with coming off my anti-depressants, but it could be the dodgy tuna pasta on Tuesday night. Unpleasant, anyway) but it means I've finally got round to watching Veronica Mars, which many of you have been recommending for ages. And it's ace! I've watched the first four episodes and am loving it. Veronica does look like Anya from odd angles, though, which is slightly disconcerting. But I like Wallace and I love Weevil, and...yeah, its cool.
Landlord-related people have been round to fill up the holes near the pipes where the rats might have been getting in - they've boarded some over and done the rest with expandable foam, which is funky as hell, and have left us the rest of the can of foam. I'm trying to resist the urge to play with it - it does seem to expand quite a lot.

By the way, vermin can and will chew through that foam filler stuff if they're motivated and have a habit of coming in through that area on a regular basis. If you find it gets chewed, try placing a bit of steel wool or Brillo (the kind with soap you use to scrub pots and pans). The rats/mice do not like the texture or taste of steel wool because it basically splinters in their mouths. Good luck with that!
