I got caitirin's Ubermix in the post yesterday - two whole volumes! *glee*! I'm listening to it just now - loving the Katamari stuff so far. Thank you so much!

I'm having a slight problem with it though - iTunes isn't recognising it as a proper CD and giving me the option to play it. (It says it can do data CDs, so I dunno what the problem is.) It *has* let me upload all the tracks into the library and then play them, but it's doing so in a weirdly random order. Almost backwards, but not quite, from what I can tell from the folders and what comes on first when I play it on my stereo. Why can I never get iTunes to do what I want?

laerad and gwinniegirl were over last night to play board games. Ended up being a couple of hours of SSX Tricky snowboarding and then a game of Puerto Rico followed by a game of Muchkin - Bites, Star and a bit of Blender. I really enjoyed it; must do it again!

Here's a Doctor Who Fandom Primer from taraljc's journal - full of all the links you need to get recaps, fanfic, icons, and all that stuff. I'm winding up my excitment levels ready for the series coming back - just now I'm impatiently waiting for Amazon to send out the John Barrowman Sings Cole Porter CD I've ordered.

Edit: I just downloaded Media Monkey on anonymous_greg's suggestion, and I love it already. It just...does stuff. Without whining and needing settings changed. It's imported all my music, made it much easier to browse than iTunes does, and is playing the Ubermix CD no problem.

Puerto Rico is a great game. It's probably overtaken Settlers of Catan as my favourite board game in recent months.

I really want to play it again, cos we only had time for one game and I mucked up near the beginning and couldn't get it back, and I want to play again and not lose. And then keep playing till I can win.

In fact, it's not a "proper" audio CD -- it's a data CD (the data being the mp3 files).

I know, but iTunes says it can play data CDs! And isn't! (horrible thing is bullying me)

Ohhh, I misread. So, you point iTunes at it and tell it to play it....and it just sits there with its iArms crossed?

It doesn't come up on the Source bar at all - I have to go to Add New Folder and import it, which is the only way I know of getting it to play it.

Do you use a Mac or a PC? If a PC, have you tried Media Monkey?

Looks snazzy - I'm downloading it now!

I love it already! It's playing it in the right order without blinking, and it's much easier to see my albums and things.

I used to use MusicMatch Jukebox Plus, then I took a brief look at iTunes and wasn't particularly thrilled with that. It was dakegra who called my attention to MediaMonkey, and I've totally converted over to it.

Oh Phew!

I have no idea how to get iTunes to do what it's supposed to do. Hate the program mostly.

YAY! Glad the CDs arrived!!
