Awayness

Haven't been on here for ages! I am now getting around to catching up. It may take me a while.

Sunday I didn't make it into work, you see, because of the snow. There were very few buses and no taxis at all, so I just stayed at home. Nobody has shouted at me yet...I was slightly concerned. I felt like a fool, in fact. But not for too long - spent the rest of the day snowboarding. On the PlayStation. spiderpixie and I have been snowboarding for the past four or five days, only stopping to watch the second half of series five of Angel again (waaaaaah!), and we think sometime soon we might be able to occasionally beat pooka_joe, who is the maestro.

If I've ignored something you said, I'm about to go and comment on it now. Sorry :)

(waves to impy5 - ha, you have succumbed!)

I have a test thing in about 40 minutes to see if I'm likely to be any good at doing live subtitles (or using voice recognition to make scripts) - I need to listen to what people are saying and respeak it into another microphone with speech recognition, adding punctuation and editing as I go. I haven't practised and I think I'll be crap. But then, I don't want to do live subtitles anyway, so...groovy. (Last time we got tested, I was Not Suitable. We have a different test now, though, apparently.)

I was actually going to wish that first, but don't know why I changed my mind.
Maybe a result of social conditioning or plain superstition to wish someone bad luck.
But I'm sure our sweet victim will manage to fail if she wants to.
Tea?

Heh. I strongly suspect I managed to fail. I missed out questions the interviewer asked twice, so there was no context for the answer, and I finished one of the clips by going "Blwibblewibbleblblblble," or something close to that. And one of the other clips, I didn't have the mic close enough to my mouth.

succumbed? Nahh, had this account for ages, it was the only way to see what people were saying about me, hehe. I still only use my BME account for my own blogging needs
