Updatiness

I woke up at 11.58 this morning. This was a slight problem, as I was supposed to be working at 10-8 shift. Got here about 20 past 12, and nobody had noticed I was late. Again. But I was good and told people, and offered to stay till 10 tonight. Urgh.

(I haven't been sleeping well the past few nights, is my excuse for this supreme incompetence. Somebody buy me one of those alarm clocks that runs away and hides from you.)

I seem to have seen quite a lot of cool animal-related stuff on TV recently. I've been watching Life In The Undergrowth, David Attenborough's newest, and it's fabulous. He was telling us about different kinds of winged things this week, and there were some beautiful...er, thingies...doing amazing things. And last night we saw something called Myths, Monsters and Hobbits, which was a mad dude out near Indonesia somewhere, I think, looking for the types of animals which have caused myths about gremlins, unicorns, dragons and so on. It was great! It had fab graphics, and the animals were really insane. Like komodo dragons. I really liked the little animals that are like gremlins, but I've forgotten their name so I can't find a picture. They have huuuuuge eyes, and very sharp teeth. Have a picture of the presenter instead - he has an eyepatch!

And there's a Knight's Tournament in England. How cool.

Would the little animal that is like a Gremlin be an Aye-Aye from Madagascar?

No, it wasn't an aye-aye...the name was something like tisu, I think. Aye-ayes are cute too, though :o)

Yeah, totally, though! They were talking about how a few movie things had been inspired by them - mogwais, and ET (apparently?!) and Yoda, of course :o)
