Moan, whine, grumble.

Today is going very slowly. Work made us do silly things, and we all had to pretend it was really important. It's ridiculously hot in here - I'm sweating in a T-shirt, whereas outside I can see my breath in the air. I have lost my keys, so spiderpixie is stuck in the house till I come home. (I fully expect them to turn up sometime soon, probably in the bath, or something. They're definitely in the flat somewhere.)

I've done tons of work, but don't get to go home till 8. Because we're a new company now, we got a snazzy backpack and a notepad with random things on some of the pages, like pictures of Daleks, or an explanation of "jumping the shark", with an illustration. This is weird. And annoying, since they claim they can't afford to give us diaries this year...

And I keep having to type "Bananarama". This is quite difficult.

I'm not going anywhere, haven't made it out of the house yet, why bother now! Hope the last hour goes by quicker or you find a way to sneak out or something!

Typing bananananarama isn't half as difficult as actually having to listen to them.

Hey, don't slag Bananarama, man. They're my *childhood*. (Stock, Aitken and Waterman have turned up now. You can slag THEM all you want.)

yblood glad they weren't my childhood. Drove me mad, singing flat all the flamin time. I'd stopped watching TOTP by the time Stock etc. came along. (I met Pete Waterman once. Seemed like a nice chap).

Ah, y'see, they came from punk roots, apparently. Hence the singing flat. Maybe.

I don't mind Pete Waterman, except that he reminds me slightly of Michael Winner. Less revolting, but there's a connection...

i'm pretty sure Pete Waterman nearly ran me and Pete over in Charing Cross in London, right enough we did attempt the Glasgow style of crossing the road....
