Du-u-ude.

People at the Memorabilia fair in Birmingham at the end of November: Ray Harryhausen (who is alive! Yay! Who was I talking to about that?), Gerry Anderson, George A Romero, Lou Ferrigno, Antoni Fargas (Huggy Bear), Pinhead, Warwick Davies, Dave Prowse, Leatherface, the whole Red Dwarf cast including Hattie Hayridge AND Norman Lovett, lots of Superman and Bond people. Oh, and a Gentleman. Quite impressive! I can't figure out from the web page who's going to be in Glasgow though. Ah, here we go... C3P0, David Carradine, the Cat and Holly, a couple of Dr Who people I don't know, someone whose face was never seen in Star Wars, a Bond girl, Al from Quantum Leap (yay!), Ingrid Pitt (Eeek! She is truly scary these days) and...da da dum...Jeff Wayne, as in Jeff Wayne's War Of The Worlds. Heh. Cool. Not that impressive a roster for Glasgow overall, though. Which is good, because it's next weekend, and I don't have any money. Again.

Actors must love it when they land bit parts in sci-fi/fantasy stuff. It's like a pension policy for B-listers.

I know, they can just retire into the convention circuit. Some of these people are so damn obscure...

IIRC, the Doctor Who folk played companions Perpugilliam (Peri) Brown (6th Doc) and Jamie McCrimmon (2nd Doc).

I've got a copy of a CD by the title of "Who Is Doctor Who?" on which, apart from the theme music & some music from the early films, there are various songs sung by people who appeared in the show: Jon Pertwee's the only Doctor who features there, but 'Jamie' also performs one or two numbers...

It's ... interesting... ;-)
