Me

Look! It's a picture of me, from the work intranet.

I went on to it to find out about people coming up from our department in London, doing the job swap thing I did in March, because I'm buddying someone and couldn't remember if I knew them. Still not entirely sure, to be honest. Might make that photo into an icon, though - it's not too bad. And I could do things to it in Photoshop.

*God*, I'm bored. Versioning old Eastenders and Casualty files so that the subtitles don't go over the ad breaks on UK Gold is dull as hell, and the paperwork is worse. It would be fine if they were really old programmes, but they're onlyfrom a couple of years ago. Eastenders and Casualty were both crap by then, though Casualty does at least have the guy from Grease 2 in it. I thought he'd popped up from nowhere, but imdb says he's done quite a lot, and I just haven't noticed him in things like Empire Records.

Why would the shows need subtitles? Is this for deaf people watching?

So do you need to make sure that you've got all the dialogue written up and done before the commercial starts? I guess it's a good thing that you don't have to translate Shakespeare...

Yeah - they don't have commercials when they're originally aired, cos they're on the BBC, so we just have to make sure the captions stop before the break and start again after.
