Giant Hamster Threatens Kremlin

I'm being despatched off to London for work the week after next. (To "shadow" people. Whee.) Questions, therefore:

Anyone want to meet up for a drink? I'll be around from Wednesday 30th till Sunday 3rd, though working Wednesday to Friday.

Anything specific I should be doing? Exhibitions at museums, great West End shows or plays I can't miss, etc? I'll probably go and see Avenue Q if nothing else turns up. Ooh, or Penelope Wilton's currently starring in the play at the Donmar.

I sense another visit to Forbidden Planet looming. And possibly up to Camden Market to see if the Meaningless Slogans guy has the "Trust Me I'm A Dalek" t-shirt in my size. And/or the hippomonstrosesquipadaliophobia one. (Warning: highly irritating Flash website, there.) Not sure where I'm staying yet, but it won't be too far out - has to be within easy commute of Shepherd's Bush.

Scary drunken Orange Lodgers have the oddest taste in karaoke. I've heard Any Dream Will Do and Steps in the last ten minutes.

Edit: I can't decide whether that should be "despatched" or "dispatched". I've been staring at it for ten minutes.

Edited Edit: And the dictionary doesn't help, and now I've been staring at both of them for long enough that they've ceased to have any meaning at all.

How about 'seconded'? Sounds much better than 'dispatched', which makes you sound like a parcel.

I'd go for dispached because it looks better but then I can't spell most of the time, especilly when I'm tired like at the end of term

I'm not quite sure what my schedule is for Wednesday - I think I don't finish work till at least 8, which might be a bit late?

I'm panicking too much about leaving for Canada in a few hours to think coherently about the dispatched / despatched issue.

I'm back in time to perhaps meet you in London to say hello.

...OK, completely pointless replying to this probably :D I'll stick my phone number up in a friends-only post nearer the time, it'd be great to meet you!

Oooh - I went to it last time I was in London, but it was great. If nothing else is happening I might well be tempted to go along again - didn't realise it was still on! Enjoy it, even if I don't make it :)
