We were young and wild and free

It was my work night out last night, and I actually dressed up in a vaguely girly way, and had glittery eyeshadow and everything! And then got worryingly drunk on two (admittedly huge) glasses of wine. I'm not sure if it's my tolerance or my pills that are the problem, but I'd better be careful on Christmas Eve... Also, I got a Doctor Who chocolate board game thingy in the Secret Santa, which is made of win.

I discovered the best spam ever in my inbox today. Kofi Annan wants to give me money, because he's compensating everyone who's ever been scammed.

Well, I should hope so. And I get extra bonus points for spending the whole time irritated that it was more a test of grammar than spelling, really. And I don't know what that "a" is about. *glares*

I'm happy and amused that Tommy Sheridan's been charged with perjury. I don't know why I get such glee from his downfall, because he hasn't done anything that bad compared to a lot of politicians. I think it's because he was the first politician who was ever a hero of mine, when I was about 12, and he went to prison for non-payment of poll tax. Feet of clay, etc... Of course, it doesn't help that I get irritated about political "sex scandals" anyway, and that, especially considering he's liberal socialist, I thought that if he'd just said "Yeah, I went to a swingers club, my wife knows, so what?" the people likely to vote for him would have accepted it. As it is, he's single-handedly destroyed the Left in Scotland for the foreseeable future, because neither the SSP nor Solidarity has any respect* any more.

Hilariously, the BBC has decided that the most relevant outside website to link to from this story is that video of Tommy's mum singing really badly.

If any of you Glasgow people still have Christmas shopping to do, especially stocking filler stuff, I highly recommend Hawkin's Bazaar. It's too late to order from the website, but there's a shop in Argyle Street, and I've bought most of it already. I mean, it's basically tat, but it's old-school, genius tat. Fuzzy Felt, and pocket-money toys like those eyeball things and those, um, plastic popping things, and jumping beans, but there's also origami kits and disturbing breathing pets and dismembered gingerbread men cookie cutters. Ha.

* Bad political pun intended

Vast amounts of money have been spent in the Oxford Hawkin's Bazaar lately. That shop is the work of Evil Geniuses, you know. Complete evil b&st*rds.

Got to love 'em.

I'm glad it looks like it's open all year round - at first I thought it was one of these shops that pops up for Christmas and then disappears again! But it looks like they have loads of shops now.

One of those shops opened in the Queens Arcade, Cardiff, recently. It's always crazy busy in there. They must be making a fortune. I've bought several Christmas presents from it! XD

Well, I'd say Sheridan's made a good job of making the non-credible elements of the left even more non-credible, to be honest.

Well, they were never gonna win an election, but at least they were getting the occasional seat before. Depends on your definition of credible, I guess...
