John Barrowman's doing a concert tour, including the Royal Concert Hall! *tries to keep the fangirly squeeing to a minimum*

10th April next year. Who wants to come? I might just buy a dozen or so tickets, I'm sure I can find people who'll come along...

It was my dad who found out about this, and told me on the phone. Hooray for dads! And my mum's threatening to come with me because he's good-looking.

He has a new album of, er, very cheesy pop songs coming out tomorrow, and in January, an autobiography that he's written with his mum sister.

...a few days ago I posted a link to the video he did for All Out of Love, which will be the album's first single.

I wish I could see him on tour but maybe there will be some live concert goodness coming from it.

I think, btw, it's his sister? Not his mum?

Ah, I always mean to go back to videos and then I forget!

Probably is his sister - I think, for some reason, I assumed it was his mum because Ewan McGregor's mum is called Carol. My mind is a strange place.

I seriously don't get it. What the hell is there to like about Barrowman? I mean, apart from if you fancy him. He looks like an Argos Tom Cruise, he laughs like he's undergoing electroconvulsive therapy, he releases shit pop albums that make him worse than Westlife, and yet you all love him. Is it because he was in a cool programme once?

What the hell?

Yeah, it's cos he used to be in Live & Kicking, the "cool" factor is still with him.

Come on, you know me - I don't usually go for mainstream good-looking blokes. I like John because he's so good-looking he should be arrogant, but he seems like just a really positive, nice guy. Who would be fun to hang around for about half an hour before I'd have to kill him, I'm sure, but never mind :) The previous album he did was of Cole Porter songs, and I love it, because I love Cole Porter...I'm not sure about this new one.

I watched John on Stricly Come Dancing this evening. It's the first time I've heard him singing properly and I enjoyed it.

Though he was singing 'Every little thing *she* does is magic', and I kept yelling at the telly "You're gay ! You married your boyfriend !"

I reckon it would be a hoot to see him in concert. Know any cheap/free places to stay in Glasgow ?

Ha! I don't know if the Strictly Come Dancing audience in general could have coped with the pronoun swapping!

There MAY be space to stay at mine, and you'd be very welcome, except it depends if I can afford to buy a sofa-bed before then! I have been meaning to for months, so I'll probably get one in the sales...

Eep! No, I hadn't! Hmm, I might take up that offer of a wander round the new BBC building sometime around that point :D
